Celtic Farms is very pleased to announce the breeding of Celtic’s Red Flag (“Dancer”) to Celtic’s Squeeze Play (“Pepper”) and to Celtic’s Red Zone (“Sally”). Dancer may be one of the brightest dogs we’ve ever bred; he broke early and I made the decision to use him as a bird dog early, rather than field trial him. He has performed extremely well (especially for a youngster) on grouse and woodcock, as well as pheasant and quail. He’s a handsome, dark gentleman.  He is bred to Red Zone who, as you probably know, has been both an extraordinarily good producer and a top-notch grouse and woodcock dog. She was trained by Rob Ecker of Midnight Kennels and, but for an abundance of dogs at the time, would have been field trialed.  Instead, she has proven to be extraordinarily good under the gun.  Squeeze Play is an excellent bird dog (she has been used as a guide dog on a couple Regulated Shooting Grounds).  One of our top producers, we expect this to be an outstanding group of pups.

I expect all of these pups to be top-of-the-line and would urge you to make your reservations promptly, especially if you are looking for a female.  Although we have some reservations already made, the sooner you reserve, the higher you are on the reservation list and the quicker you will get a puppy.

These pups are due on or about June 14 (Pepper) and June 21 (Sally) and will be available for pick-up ten (10) weeks thereafter.  At the time of release, they will have received basic obedience work (come, heel/whoa, etc.).  They will be crate-trained and will have received all of their shots with the exception of rabies, which cannot be administered until they are twelve (12) weeks of age.
